Trying to give myself a deadline

I think I mentioned before that I obviously don't have the problem of having a deadline to finish my sequel.  I wish I had that problem.  That would mean I have a publisher.  Unfortunately, I do not.  However, I am hoping to finish writing my book by August 1.  There is no specific reason for that deadline.  I just want to finish it and get it out there.  I still have 20 chapters to write.  Obviously, I will have to do some extreme editing when I am done.  Naturally, my mom told me not to rush it.  I'm not, I'm just trying to be productive.  We will see what happens.
