Writer's Block

I have outlined 24 chapters to the 3rd book in "The Teacher That..." series. I have now hit the not so amazing writer's block. I posted on Twitter asking for suggestions on how to unblock this. One person told me to write in the first person, have my main character go to the kitchen and describe everything they see and that will end my block. That seems very strange to me. I've asked a few people about this. They said that it's a way to describe everything you see creatively and that it could spark some ideas. I'm not too optimistic about it. I just finished reading A Time to Kill by John Grisham. Now that I'm done with the book, I hope to work on my book tomorrow to try to get rid of my block!
